S.K. Singh Memorial Gold Medal
Prof. S. K. Singh
The Palaeontological Society of India established an award in the name of the Late Prof. S. K. Singh, former editor of the Journal of the Palaeontological Society of India, in 2010. Prof. Singh rendered significant services to the Journal for a long time. The award is given (Annually) to the best research paper published in the Journal of the Palaeontological Society of India in the immediate past year. For this purpose, a selection committee is constituted by the Executive Council of the Palaeontological Society of India comprising the Chief Editor and two Associate Editors. The committee shall consider the comprehensiveness of the paper, the novelty of the research work and its relevance in evolution of life and biostratigraphy. The Medal shall be conferred on the first author of the published research paper; however, all the coauthors, if any, shall receive a citation.
